should there be a nut securing the input gear to the main gearbox shaft and if so does anybody have a part no for it?
gear box is lt77 on a g reg 110 and believed to be original(about the only thing that is)

don't bother with the air speed saw they don't last very long (1/2hr) they did replace it no problem but that only lasted 3/4hr
to run drills grinders spot blast guns you need to have a big tank and twice the cfm that the tool says it needs also as large an airline as you can get

as mentioned earlier swap sender and gauge for an aftermarket one which will take the guess work out of diagnosing if you have a overheating problem
swap the fan switch for an x-eng one which has dual temp sensing

if you use front stubs you have to machine the back of them to fit the salisbury axle tube
this is the route i went down as i didn't like the way front hubs fitted on rear stubs
the only downside is that if you have to replace the stubs you have to modify them
