  1. Neil, I'm running two electric fans in front of the rad/sir con exchangerr on my V8, the fans are wired up to a manual dash sw, auto temp sw/rly system which great, I run in +45 C temps here in the middle east and have yet to experience and overheating problems! The only problems with the fans is RFI on the Stereo system, I'm currently re-wiring with sheilded wire to get rid of it. Cheers Tracy
  2. Kev, Thanks for the feedback, you are absolutely right regarding the work required, initially i thought it might work, the dash was completely pulled out as I'm touching up the bulkhead for repainting, and pieced everything together on the floor of my flat last night and realized the plenum would need to be heavily modified the easiest part is the fascia mod. Fortunately, I work for an aircraft co. here in the middle east and have access to all the workshops (metal or composite) to do the necessary work on my off time. So, at present I'm doing some measurements to figure out if I can make a box plenum assembly to run flush along the bulkhead, mating with the various vents, I can also form wire-wrapped silicone hose and achieve the same thing. The bulkhead doesn't have the vents (hence no corrosion), so fewer obstructions.Might be a first for your panel Mark. That being said, it might be a whole lot easier to pick-up the parts required to convert over to the later style dash, there appears to be a bunch of wrecked LRs a few hours from me, shold be able to find what I need amongst the carnage As a side note we are thinking of buying up a bunch of used parts and shipping a container load back to Canada. Anyone need anything? Ralph, you had replied to some of my questions on LRO forums (elderberry) much appreciated! Cheers All, Tracy
  3. Ralph, That is the dash config, on my vehicle, the mud stuff is the one I think I'll get, along with switches via their links. Will take photos of the project. The bonus is that my bulkhead doesn't have the vents on it, so no water leaks and interference. Where do you come up with all this information and photos you keep providing, oh wise one? Thanks, Tracy
  4. Great dash set-ups guys, does anyone know how any of these kits would work with the fascia (dash cover) that goes all the way across, my 85' 110 dbl cab has this with 5 vents (for the a/c), looks like I might need to cut the centre out. The mud one looks great. Anyone know of switch suppliers in Canada or the middle east? I'm a hard time finding parts in the UAE. New parts are extremely over-priced here and take forever to get. As I'm back and forth to canada every 2 mos I could always come through the uk and pick parts up and meet some of you guru's that have been so helpful to a LR newbie! Thanks Tracy
  5. Thanks for the info Les, we were comparing to another one from a wrecker and mine seems to have a twist to it when sitting on the bench! Will get the other one welded up, thanks for the picks.
  6. Les, I'm very new to LR's, where do I find a stronger clutch for, I've determined that my shifting woes are a bent fork. Since I'm in the middle east, if I can't get one from the UK, is it possible to straighten the one I have and reinforce it? 1985 110 4dr p/u conv V8, 5spd
