  1. Boothy and son will be competing hopefully, (depends on the water),

Nobody takes the p*** out of one another, its a sort of DIY thing really,

Listen for the V8 (if the Megaquirts mega) its a white/blue 88" truckcab traybacky thing, running your fuel map Nige.

Be nice to see some faces, to put to names, I hope. :D:P

Twiggy, mate! as if i would :P:P:P

Yep i'm entered with Pigster, 37'' bogger's on and hoping to dig great big hole's for all the V8 boys other's to use ;):lol: It's going to be hell there, after all this rain, plus more to come.............. just how i like it :P

I'll be there saturday, it's a good idear to get scrutineered on saturday as sunday will be very busy :o:lol:

Cant wait, bring it on :i-m_so_happy:

  2. Water!,

    V8,

    who cares?

    does it make a difference?

NEW Simex (and no new carpet),

    whats all the fuss about?

    Jobs left

see if this Megasquirt will run?

    and will it stand water?

I quite like being a marshall anyway

How'd you work that one :o:rolleyes: Must have forgot about burning the washing :P:P Don't forget your tent

  3. Escape is basing his ideas im sure, on rear wheel drive and rear engined sports cars, if you look at a normal front engined car, with front wheel drive, it will out perform a rear wheel drive car.

this could get very very complicated.

i think it depends on the weight distribution in your car.

    i second nas90's pointss/

Also, why do american rock crawler people weld up their diffs?

No cost involved........ we've been doing it for in trialing. Weld up the front, fiddle's in the back, plenty of traction and turn on a sixpence ;):P

  4. Whey hey....

Megasquirt now up and running (just a lot rich at the mo but we can sort that),

    How deeps this water ????????????

Watch out boys this duck can swim,,,, or should swim,,,,,or may swim ,,,,, just watch out,,,, it could sink!!!

We may see the tip of your aerial if you drive in the wrong place :P

  5. Busy in the workshop Carl ?

Just got to rewire the full injection sysyem and get the Megasquirt running, rebuild the back suspension and paint the new doors (which have'nt arrived yet),

    rewire the lights and winches

fit the new hockey sticks and all new brakes, including changing some flat brake pipes,

drill the wheels for the beadlockers and get them zinc dipped,

talk her into letting me have new tyres instead of carpets (that's the hard one),

    See you in September

Best of luck there Twiggy........ :P

  6. If I'm a good boy all week and don't annoy her, and that very hard especially after a day at Saleys wednesday traybacking the beast, then I stand a chance of a pass out.

God help me keep my gob shut, and my dirty fingers of the doors and things :P

I'll wait to see you at the first round then ;) we're be able to have a trayback class soon! :P

  7. Mate, there's no chance of spending what I haven't got anyway!! Overtime needed urgently. I think I'm going to be dragging Trev round too..... I'll be the one next to the bloke in a hawiian shirt and red leather trousers!!!

Red :o that's a very light shade of Red :P

  8. We will be there - taking a week to drive up then back again. Fancy a convoy Peter??

I wonder if I could enter my D*l*ca in Standard Class

It would be to get some drivers to at least fly out and take a look - the 2009 event is in Germany and a lot easier to get to.

I think the likes of Chris Abel, Adrian Turner, Dirty Diesel should be pencilling 2009 in their diaries

(Mods any chance you could move this topic to Competing and delete this line)

Now i like the idear about 2009 <_< as i'll have the new truck built by then.

  9. I'll be there on the All Wheel Drive Club stand with the first public showing of Portal Pete's new truck (get it finished Rob!!!)

I'll be the one shouting 'Roll up, roll up - get yer Howlin' Wolf T-shirts ere'

If you wanted an old shed on the stand you could have used mine ;):P see you there!

  10. Adrian,

For that you get a bare winch, i wanted to get a price up just to see how much interest there was.

We will be selling the FULL kit and the absolute price list will be going up at the show.

    The parts list:

    1 x winch setup

    1 x winch

    1 x motor

    1 x pump & dogclutchover

    1 x center valve

    1 x single spool valve

    1 x oil tank (bespoke)

    7 x pipes

    2 x winch setup

    2 x winch

    2 x motors

    1 x pump & dogclutch

    2 x overcentrevalve

    1 x double spool valve

    1 x oil tank (bespoke)

    11 x pipes

spool valves can be manual/solonoid/single /double

I personally use solonoid and manual which lets you have very good control inside the car and fast rope dressing out side the car.

you can have whatever you like

    John

Look's like we're be having a chat at Slab :P see you there :i-m_so_happy:

  11. PS May be worth say "What a bare" unit is - and what else they would need.- as not many will appreacite ........??

Ok, £1495. seam's like a good price......... but what do you get for that ??? and what else do i need to get it working, how much will that all cost???? and will you be doing a FULL kit........ if so how much???? No now't about oil driven winch's :(:P

Thinking about the next build.......
