  1. If emailing Witham, don't leave any questions too close to the auction end as they can take a while to reply (but are very helpful when they do!)
  2. It's not just the door locks, the ignition key from my 90 fits the 110 (but not the other way round!) can also use screwdrivers.....
  3. About 3 feet, could probably get a car up in the air but not enough for the 110! How easy are lifts to maintain?
  4. Thanks for that, have noted safety issues with pits. Seems lifts aren't as pricey as I thought. One reason for a pit was having changed the transfer box in the snow, I'd quite like to work inside and garage doesn't have the height...
  5. After many years I'm about to dig myself a pit, no more crawling underneath to grease or change oils! Width and length are obvious, but how deep to make it? Will have to work on 'ordinary' cars too, am 6'2" tall so any ideas? Also any tips on construction? Thanks in advance!
  6. Replaced my bent track rod, but before fitting it took new rod to local engineering co, who welded a piece of box steel around it (for £8). Result is very strong.
  7. No major drama with DVLA. Previous owner fitted a 200tdi and changed bodies from hard top to SW. Noted V5 still had the old details, so just filled in the boxes on the V5, posted it with photos of new body. New V5 came back a few weeks later.
  8. Many thanks! Guard binned and tracking being checked this afternoon! Would like to fit a HD track rod, any recommendations? Richard
  9. Hi, last week I managed to scrape the underside of my 110 on a rock. The only apparent damage being a bent track rod which was rubbing on the axle 'guard'. the problem now is the dash shaking vibrations at 40 - 50 mph. these only happen under power, dissapearing when easing off the throttle or free wheeling. Reving the engine in neutral doesn't result in any vibes either. Have checked all the oil levels, prop uj's, and wheel nuts - all ok. Could it be down to the track rod and I expect incorrect racking? Thanks Richard
