  1. Yep i thaught about that but still my rpm wont go as much i would like.
  2. Hello All I am doing a volvo portal conversion on my 94 discovery and i need an overdrive After using Ashcroft calculator i ended with 3500 rpm at 100 km ,i have the 7.14 c303 axles.37inch tires. If i use the 1/1 tcase conversion i will drop to 2950rpm . I contacted roamer drive and and they said that there kit is not compatible with Ashcroft 1/1 and it is not compatible with auto transmission. Any idea how to resolve the problem without changing to R380 ? Thank you Naji M .
  3. If 95 is the same as 94 serpentine nas then it is 1/8 npt ,iam doing the thore manifold and had to drill for it
  4. Well this is my project for my vacation thats starts now....... I modified the thor manifold to accept the thermostat and drilled a 1/8 fpt to acomodate the dash temperature sensor ,for the ecu temperature sensor you can yous your existing it is the sam thread . I used an 1997 fuel rail and modified the fuel pressure valve so i can hook an aftermaket one ,i am using my 14 cux for now till i get the megasquirt .
  5. Some updates finished the caliper brakets.
  6. A small up date ,redid the flanges ,fabed a sleeve to replace the stefa seal ,waiting for the spacers and caliper brakets.
  7. Some more pictures with the same setup not mine .
  8. Did not meen to insult you in any way ,please understand that paying 4000 usd for a disc conversion not anyone is willingbto do .espesially when on page 2 that companny is charging 800 euro per axle.
  9. Well do you think it is normal to pay a disc conversion more than the axles ? It does not make sens in my book . And this does not include calipers and discs.
  10. i will keep updating this post when i have something to add ,i might make a youtue vid to explain it .
  11. After alot of googeling and reading i landed on someone with portaltek and he wath usinf the disc and calipers from a 2005 silverado 2500hd the rear one on the 4 courners why the rear ? Because the hat was deep so the caliper can clear the mag/wheel ( so no need to use the over expensive willwood setup) Yes you are dead on but because i was planning somthing else like using mercedce bens studs that you can screw in from outside, realizing that the metal thikness was not enough so step 2 is to machine a flat surface for the stud from the rear like a normal truck you have to notice that i can change my disck without removing the hub assembly. Actualla it was a mistak by the machinist that led me to rethink it . Step 2 is to machine flat surface for the studs notice that in order to have a flat full circle you have to cut deep in the flange/hub resulting a week spot ,so my solution is to only machine a half circle so the stud will have a shoulder to sit on ,from the other side of the hub wil be installing a flange to push the disc to the outside that flange will help to center the luges and give them rigidity . The project is not finished as you know money do not gow on trees Lol
  12. My setup is reduce the outer diameter install the studs from the rear add a 3/4 inch spacer then add the rear disc of a 2005 sylverado 2500hd discs !i will be using hummer wheels and tires the proper offset 7 in 2 out . Hope it helps someone .
  13. Not to hijack but does anyone know the torque curve for the m57.
  14. Hello guys I am in the process of installing a Volvo portal on my disco 1. The rear is figured out so ther is no problem but the front .??????? I was reading here and on pirates till one of my eyes fell off Some use the existing radius arms some suggest the disco 2 radius arms . My concerns is will the disco 2 radius bushing can they hold the extra force of the portals ,or can the radius arm handle all that force . What is your input post some pics please. Thank you Naji M.
  15. well after discussing this with a friend ,the TPS acts as a voltage divider so even with a different value the output for the ecu will stay the same because my source is 5 volts ,between the original tps that is 4000to 6000 ohms and the new Bosch 2650 ohm is the steps in the 4to6k ohm have more steps than 2.65kohm .
  16. clic on the link for the pics ,it is from a RR 01 ,this is the first step MS is still in study because i want to keep it as Daily driver and weekend fun /expedition . Thanks
  17. Hello Guys As the title says yes i am installing a Bosch intake manifold into my NAS 94 discovery and i hit a small bump with the TPS the value of the hot-wire TPS is 4000 ohm to 6000 ohm the new Bosch is 2600 ohm . My question is ther in the market tps with different values? if i build my tps from a potentiometer will it last if i water proof it ?any body tried this . ok why i am installing a newer manifold because i am looking into fuel economies and more hp and torque at lower rpm .in addition to headers ,i already installed a ford Taurus fan twin speed controlled with a sensor and changed the Lucas fuel injectors to the new Bosch stile with 4 heads for better atomization and already noticed the improvement . http://picasaweb.google.ca/data/feed/base/user/najman100/albumid/5511999987859443969?alt=rss&kind=photo&hl=en_US

  19. Hello Guys i took the bullet and will be installing a Megajolt on my 94 discover North American specs . i have a small problem figuring out how to install the trigger wheel and where ? in front or in the rear of the pulley . any body have a serpentine setup on his disco and a megajolt can post a picture here so i figure out how to install mine . Thanks in advance for all your help/contibution in this thread . Naji M.
