  1. Nige I have a couple of spray guns, hardly ever used. You are welcome to have one free to try and keep if OK NigeT
  2. Nige What about spray on vac off dry cleaner, not tried it on a head lining but it works on other areas. You could try it on a small area first
  3. I've got a 12 volt to various up to 24 volt converter to run my laptop etc. at 18 volts. Got it from Maplins, you need to know your power requirement but it may work.
  4. Nige was in Challenger 4x4 yesterday, he is building a 90 with NOR tube etc. Paul has fitted the lights as yours but put the front plate on with holes for the lights and colour coded as well. Might be worth a thought as it will give even more protection especially for the side lights and indicators.
  5. Pedal box servo etc drops straight into a lightweight. Some servos are bigger and foul the bonnet so be aware of that. I found that I needed a 90 servo and master cylinder to make discs work properly on a series.
  6. I agree with Fridge, I've done it as has Jon White. Easy if you know how but not simple to work out from scratch. You need a lathe or mill or both and the right bits. Search is your friend.
  7. Extras added to date I think now up to 28 vehicles. Andrew Wolfe Robert Edwards Land Rover 90 Paul Wihbley W Blunt Land Rover 90 Ben Champion Martin Champion Land Rover 90 Mark Jeffery Colin Humphries IBEX 250s Benjamin Wolfe George Easton Land Rover 90 Shaun Goring Mr D Campbell 100" Pickup Gavin Lawrence Ryan Lawrence Land Rover 90
  8. I would think theres room, we normally max out at around 40 so you should be OK. Now plus Henry Cox Alasdair Cox Land Rover 90
  9. We generally ban chains for recovery. Only use for me is to attach your winch vehicle to a tree or similar but we always use a wide strop for this to avoid tree damage as much as possible.
  10. Now up on HBRO Site. Driver Passanger Vehicle Paul Ruddick Peter Hall Suzuki SZ Kevin Pocock Adrian Turner Range Rover Raymond Peckham Paul Farnsworth Discovery Bob Baker Denise Ruddick Range Rover Trevor Thomas Paul Edney Suzuki SZ Martin Stainer Graham Mitchell Land Rover TD5 Gary Westbrook Barry Newland Suzuki SZ Paul Duffield Cliff Dollimore Land Rover 90 Simon Saines John Saines Suzuki Jimny Alan Lockington Russell Freeman Range Rover Dakar Hugh Duffett Sarah Duffett Land Rover 90 Adie Hibberd Matt Hibberd Discovery David Tolboys Paul Smith Land Rover 90 David Hockley Tony Chandler Range Rover Nick Anderson Paul Bass Land Rover 90 Andy Smith Paul Hooper Land Rover 100" John Piper Adam North Suzuki Hybrid Joe Rose Paul Acketts Land Rover 90 Ben Tinkler Giles Tinkler Land Rover 90 Dan Elais John Jennings Land Rover Hope this helps
  11. A little bit of fabrication stopping you. Want to come and do marshalling /recovery with me. Or even setting out.
  12. I've put in a call to see if I could gee someone up a bit. Not competing then Nige?
  13. Did mine recently, put on a galvanised one. Taken from a galv chassis, should now last.
  14. Just wondered that was all, so complete swap it is.
  15. My brother has just got a 90, drum rear brakes G reg. I've suggested disc brakes on the rear and can get a disco axle. Will the axle casing be the same, i.e. just change the ends or is it a complete axle swap. I know probably not much in it for time but am interested.
  16. I'll be there as Chief Scrut again. Slab is OK but I understand we have some extra areas this year so it may be more interesting. Will be marshalling and recovery as well.
  17. The one I've seen is a modified AC Pump clutch through rubber couplings and bolted to the crank pulley and then to the capstan. Works well and seems very reliable.
  18. I've also seen it done with an electric clutch as on an AC pump. Brilliant for on off as you just have a switch or two one in one out. A friend runs a capstan this way.

  20. I'll be there, I thought is was good last year if a tad cold.
  21. Fit Paddocks Parabolic springs, I've had them and they were fine on my Lightweight. If Paddocks is local go take a look at a crossmember, if you think its OK then buy based on that. I've just put a galvanised rear crossmember on the 90 so shouldn't get any more problems there.
  22. Used a Halfords one earlier this year and it seemed OK.
