i had the same prob this was on an r380 box replaced switch not easy to get to but once replaced it works ok there isnt any adjustment on this like the lt77box chris
had carpet up self tappers well rusted but gave in to mole grips the pipes from sender look ok no damp spots etc cleaned and covered in grease replaced self tappers my next idea is to replace the rubbers in the sediment bowl its not a lot of air so maybe the tiny oring on the bolt that holds it toghether ill try this in the week
help im getting air in fuel system somewhere 300tdi firstly ive changed lift pump fuel filter checked all fuel lines etc i was told that 300tdi discos suffer from air getting in fuel system from top of fuel tank around sender area basically where the pipes enter the tank has anybody had this prob or any other suggestions cheers chris
eventually cured leak with high modulus silicone dried both sides of guttering after removing plastic trim applied silicone and re fitted trim then sprayed tetrosyl underbody sealant full length of gutter this has been on for about 2 months no water yet hopefully cured prob
im looking to change to swivel bearing grease rather than ep90 any suggestions is it worth changing that say it requires no further maintenance is this true
hello mate i have a 1.8tdi fiesta van fly by wire this has a similar prob ford dealer said its the pedal apparently it works like a scalectric controller and this wears apparently this is true unless any one has any other ideas .chris.
i have water coming in it appears to be coming between the point where the roof is fixed to the sides at the same level as the gutter if i dried it all probably silicone would seal it it appears to get in where the original sealer has become wet cracked it is probably wicking water through the seal any suggestions other than silicone or a good coat of chlorinated rubber 2 pack paint which is high build so i could put plrnty on any suggestions cheers chris
cheers for that if i cut the ring off what are the chances of a 50mm ball coupling bolting to the remaining rod that sticks out or would this make it too short for the brakes to work i presume thay work on the rod ive got an adjustable height db coupling so height shouldnt be a problem the other option is to fix a nato hitch to a adjustable coupling then i would have both removable by two pins do you think the latter sounds best cheers chris
advice please i have a disco 300tdi ive been looking at these trailers at witham sv will the standard nato tow ring fit my dixon bate ball and pin hitch or will i need a nato jaw help please
hello mate ill try the relay has 4 connections earth which has to be connected to negative and a positive which will be connested to the main beam wire at back of headlight the following two connections are your spotlight connections one to positive on battery and the other to the positive on your spots i put a fuse on the positive 15 -20 amp to guard against any chaffing etc to check if relay is working get someone toactivate main beam the relay will click try to keep relay protected from extreme cold as it affects them i had a escort van the cold made the relay short out and spots come on oviously flat batt any probs ask and someone will help im in colchester essex if closer ill come round
took the old cat apart today just to be snouty with all the little pieces it must be a restriction on exhaust but its a lot better without it well carboned up hands very dirty made a mess but that will teach me for being snouty chris
