a couple of years ago we done a load of caravan bases down here in essex using a fiborous mix basically concrete with fibre doesnt need any reinforcing and holds toghether well at thin layers maybe worth a look failing that unibond the slab and use a strong sand and cement mix

because i was suspicious took cam belt housing off today the belt was ok no chaffing so the kit does work hooray

there so many different regs i get confused but that aint hard ill take it monday and see what happens my m plate transit always passed no cat any way ill see what happens cheers peter chris

thats my thought if the engine is ok i cant see it being a prob he said if it was made after 92 it should have a cat ill plead ignorance at the end of the day ive still got the old cat so if it fails ill put it back on also after removing egr it dont chuck out black smoke like before so ill see how it goes cheers for reply chris

i have a 96 300tdi discovery i removed the cat in january speaking to mot tester at my local garage he says it must have a cat fitted or it will fail test has any one else had this prob or did thay get a pass as he says it will be tested as a cat test and hes convinced it will fail your views please chris

i am a construction plant operator driving a jcb 3cx at present working for a plant hire company in norfolk driving what thay send you out on been in plant for 18 years now so getting tired but some days are interesting on a water main contract down here in colchester at the moment

does anyone know part number for these tiny bulbs which illuminate the switches heated rear screen fog lights etc it appears lucas dont do these bulbs any part no appreciated cheers chris

replaced crankshaft sprocket and idlers new belt etc since last saturday when replaced belt only it had chewed about 3mm off new belt done about 150 miles only hopefully after fitting new kit it will be ok managed to tighten crankshaft pulley with 4 pound hammer and 27mm ring spanner thanks for all your help chris

hello mate ive just received kit from craddocks 4096l this is as you described with guide lips on crank sprocket and no lips on idler as my old one has so its the right kit chris

thanks everyone i could only get a belt this weekend but took it all apart existing belt was quarter eaten it still has original tensioner lip on each side and no lips on any other pulley as les said hardest was getting pulley off i know ive got to take it apart again to replace idlers etc but its put mind at rest knowing that a new belt has been fitted the belt has lasted 9 months ill make a couple of calls tomorrow for pieces thanks guys

at work we use a grease made by state chemical AP grease i drive a jcb and use this on props it outlasts other grease i use it on my disco and it tends to stay in longer a lot more elastic ill try and find the dealer chris

are you looking at it for cooking or tea coffe etc i use a jet boil personal cooking system boils water quickly beans etc about 50 quid excellent piece of kit i think thay also do frying pans for it hope this helps

hello after prodding about in cambelt inspection hole ive pulled out pieces of rubber oviously this isnt good does it mean urgent replacement of belt never changed one on a 300tdi 1996 is this an easy job haynes manual makes it look technical also should i replace it as a whole kit thoughts please

ill find out the weekend ill drill out plastic and see what tap fits maybe m8 looking at it theres no way the bolt on top is coming undone well corroded so there must be water carp in sedimenter main filter was ok changed weekend

as people have said alumunium and road salt dont mix does any one know if the plastic drain plug is a m6 thread as this has snapped off leaving the plug flush with the base im looking to drill it out and retap the hole and fit a m6 bolt or replace the whole thing thoughts please

after getting under to clean out sedimenter its well corroded probably will break trying to take apart this is on a 300tdi 1996 disco does anyone have the part number so i can order one or can i do away with it completely

help please changed batteries in remote fob but i have to be right close to vehicle to open close vehicle where is the aerial for the locking system maybe its fallen off

mine was a 96 300tdi i mananaged to disconnect the wiring plug and using a ring spanner to undo switch after passing wires through spanner the switch was about 8 quid from rst at mersea island essex
