Any one know the internal measurement of the defender diesel fuel line, so a t piece willl fit inside.

I am fitting a esbascher heater to the defender, and i want to insert a T piece into the fuel line, anyone know the size of fuel pipe, or the size in mm of T piece i require.

Anyone any idea if these trailer hitches can be purchased in the UK, my cousin in the USA wants one, and over there they are in the region of 400+ dollars each. My Cousin in the the USA has added this info The hitch is mounted on the frame on the 2006 LR3 requires a extension bar that comes down before the regular bar with the ball goes in it can be attached. That picture was the piece that comes down out of the frame mount.

Having replaced slave cylinder,and getting slave cylinder rod reconnected to the clutch arm, bled system, and now clutch feels very hard to push down, I now think that the arm has come adrift inside clutch housing, So whats easier engine out or gearbox dropped, Whats involved in dropping gearbox out? I need this vehicle for a overland trip in 3 weeks time. Or do i take it somewhere for them to do, How much would it likly to cost for a garage to fit the clutch.

After an aborted trip to billing due to the clutch master cylinder packing up, i changed master cylinder, and decided not to tempt fate and change slave, and rubber pipe at same time, when slave cylinder was removed the pin came out as well, i can see where it is meant to be located in arm,but cant get it back in, can you forget the clip or is the pin likly to come adrift of the pivit point ? As it turns out slave was just starting to leak as well,

Do you reckon that the rear main seats would be wide enough to replace the front defender seats, with a bit of adaptibility. I will send you a pm about coming down to see the seats, Cheers

I loaded everything up in the 110 for a 2 night stay at Billing, only for the clutch master cylinder to dump all its innards 1 mile from home. Oh well there is always next year.

I have bought some scenic seats to do as you have done in the back of a 110, any chance of a few pics as to how you have fixed them underneath, or have you used the excisting scenic seat clamps which clip on to tubeing, ie like they fitted in scenics.

Problem solved it was the lift pump

On my defender 300tdi, the fan belt squeaks, thoght it might be a pulley first of all, have changed waterpump, no difference, When you spray WD40 on belt for approx 2 seconds squeak goes, at times it does sound like a grating noise, from a bearing, anyone throw any light on this!!!!

Can anyone tell me which wire on a CB coaxial cable goes to earth, the outer or inner?

Waterpump replaced, inlet manifold gasket replaced at same time,(better access) as it had been leaking, No leaks that i can see. job done and finished.

Once i removed the alloy bit behind the pump, broken bolt came out easily, bolt was corroded to alloy bit behind pump, whats the name for the alloy bit that the pump is bolted to.

I have a 300 tdi 110, one of the long bolts which go into the engine block at the base of the waterpump has sheared off, can i get away with forgetting this bolt, and put pump back on, or replace, which means alot more work stripping it all down.

Hi, I fitted Horse Stable matting thoughout the rear floor,wheelarches under rear seats, seat box and footwells in my 110 csw, it is 17mm thick and definately makes a difference, here in the Uk u can buy it for approx £30 for a 6` x4` sheet, which is a lot cheaper than Landrovers rubber matting for rear of vehicle. I would have thought that it could be purchased through out the world

Is that the same as the lift pump?

Its a 110 1993 300TDI, the noise has only started in the last month, never heard it before, You can hear it coming through the floor when sitting in it at junctions, this is why i went staight to fuel line.

On my defender fuel tank i have another inlet outlet that has a rubber pipe blanking it, Whats it for, or can i use it for an espacsher heater

I get a occasinal ticking noise from my fuel line, Well put it another way, you can hear a ticking when you pull up at a junction, you can feel a vibration through the fuel line under the vehicle that corresponds with the ticking, blip the throttle and ticking disapeers. There is no sign of air getting in, or fuel leaking anywhere, My only thought is that a pump may be on the way out, can anyone offer any ideas. Is there a pump in the tank

Ok, It looks like i have my answer. The vehicle in question is actully a trailer, on leaf springs, so there is nothing else to go wrong, so it looks like it is the bearings. Thanks

If a wheelbearing is still loose with up to an inch of movement, after you have tightened up the bearing, What is wrong, Is it the bearings worn or hub or both, Is it unusual for the hub to wear.
