I dont claim to know anything about either but its funny , both ladrover mechanics I have spoken to independanly have said it was a good engine even when I was trying to slag it off. maybe its just they knew how to fix them?

I was lucky and never had to remove the stainless runner fromthe inner wings , only the glass from the mild steel sliders. I have a leyland manual here from 1977. I can have a look when I get a chance!

yes and they are very rare , lucky for you I just bought some myself for mine try landrover direct they have them . little tip for ya will- they are a bastid to fit and they are now made m5 but the holes in the door handle mechanism are too small for that so run an m4 die and get some m4 nuts! all in all a cnut of a job to do though!!

thanks , yeah they are a set of nationwide trim seats and carpets , I bough them on ebay and had them shipped down from scotland which cost a bit more lol they seatbelts are built in to the backs on the front. I had to make some adaptor plates for the rear seat latches so they would work on the 72 arms. I dont have any belts in the baack U get the cash?

oo what yanks you got? I always wanted one but got distracted by range rovers as they were about the closest uk thing you can get to a yank. I am running a bmw 540 , rrc 3.9 4 door and my 72 rrc atm, and yest its costing me a fortune. can be looking at £300 a week in fuel if I fill em all up U get my pm?

arrghh dont remind me , my heater matrix went on my 4 door rrc at Christmas and wrote off my 4 month old stereo Interesting , so the patrols are very tough, but you like the rrc looks, and free tax? I think they are under one of the front seats. it can take up to 11 litres of fluid and a lot of time and mess to bleed one of the classic systems
