  1. typical Steve, a 6mth old post and we both look at the same time and want the same thing!!!
  2. if i want to wire a set of these in to work off the existing HRW switch - presumably i can wire them straight to the HRW relay output? - Mud ones are 1.6A draw i read i believe? so where is the HRW relay located on a 110 Puma?
  3. when was the filter last changed? tank been run near empty lately?

  5. yes i know that, i was wondering if there was another one i could use for even more.
  6. what about one that would be better lower down the rev range for more torque? any ideas?
  7. thank you, so 45mm one i will be looking for.
  8. thank you, also just found it somewhere else, as you did an edit i didnt get to see the new thread on email (been off line for a while) thank you confirmed its GT2256V
  9. would a '94 plate Def (L reg) have wide or narrow radius arms? or does any know the two sizes so i could measure and check?

  11. if you have a copy of the program that would be great thank you. cheers David, just found it, thank you.
  12. still not seen my role! if only i had sky!
  13. i have a TGV (well two actually) and i have to say it pulls well but i would rather tow with my 2.4 over the TGV any day. 2.2 is no different to drive in my experience but i have not done any towing with one. D4 is leaps and bounds above a D3, esp with Hitch guidance, trailer guidance etc etc, but either do the job of towing very well and better than a td5/2.4/2.2 Def.
  14. Anyone coming to watch? West Harptree Sat 18th Wellington Sunday 19th
  15. i had heard that they broke that shaft! 63mm so about std LR size then!!!!
  16. Morning all, Just to let you know that the penultimate DRD will take place on Sunday 7 October at Wellington. We are open for bookings now. i know Oct is a fair way off but with the event season now in full swing the time will soon past. Yesterdays DRD was very wet to say the least. We had a good group out for the day with a great mix of vehicles and ability. The wet ground certainly highlighted any shortcomings!!! Even Kevin Williams got stuck
  17. Always working on publicity we decided to roll here so we could point out the superb X -Arms on the truck which have performed faultlessly (unlike the driver).!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. thats why i dont have my own GP winch! too much for me.
  19. i wasn't trying to be funny was just curious as to what people consider alot on a comp car really. by the time you have done axles, diffs, tyres and rims you have already spent a fair whack. i expect most comp vehicles are around the 10k mark for retail prices. i agree the vehicles you list have certainly had alot more spent on them. i agree with your point entirely, looks at Treeblokes truck, if it hadn't broken a steering box on the last lap their result would of probably put them in front of the driving god. Paul - what team no were you guys?
  20. there seem to be quite a few pictures of the lie down!!! any would be great! finishing one lap is a credit i think.
  21. Chris - we were the same 60L for the weekend. Like Bob our truck is not really geared for this type of event. shocks being the main thing that would need sorting for next years. we also has the aim of just finishing each lap and were no where near the quickest and had no intention of trying to be! we just wanted to finish. Bob was very unlucky on the last round which prob cost him 4 or so places. our woes were a tyre and TRE on 1st lap which costs us 17mins to change plus then mean't we ended up queuing for 30-35mins on the rocks - got flustered and rolled it trying to over take which also didn't help. 2nd lap was better, last two laps we had no queuing and a no problems. depending how fast you went determined the amount of damage. we built the truck to be reliable and it was so we were happy. overall aside from refixing mudguards and general maint we did the aforementioned tyre and TRE plus 1 shock and a steering box. plus the side window popped out 800m from the end of the last lap! To be fair the box which went in for the event was not right from the start and we changed it as a matter of course as it didnt seem happy. going back to the suppliers yesterday apparently they have had a run of faulty ones!!!
  22. out of interest what makes an expensive car. 1km per L is a good planning figure when doing road books (ie tulips) for a diesel, 2L per Km for a v8.
  23. Boothy - thank you for the recovery on the rock steps! i know what you mean about air filters, ours was changed between each lap! we used a bit of fuel to - 30L a day......... (good old diesel) and even managed to get to 90deg C right at the end of the lap on the last few sprints. so pleased i had good cooling!
