  1. Yes please. Are they cheaper than Laminova's?
  2. I purchased a pair of Scorpion racing trailing arms from e-blag. They are brand new, never fitted and stated that they were for RRC (I assume that they fit Def, RRC and Disco). I fitted them Christmas eve with all new genuine bushes, nuts and bolts. I fitted one side at a time. by sliding the arm into the chassis bush (new) and then bolting the arm to the axle, Once I had done this I saw that face of the trailing arm which makes contact with the chassis bush had about two inches of clearance meaning the bottom of the axle would be pulled 2 inches closer to the front. I changed the other side and had the same problem. I now think that my Rangie has a 98" wheelbase? My simple mind calculates that by pulling the bottom of the axle forward on a lifted Rangie will cause the Diff nose to tilt to the sky even more. Does anybody have these fitted to there motor and how do you find them?
  3. I need to get the Mrs to order these soon. What damper relocation kits are you using? and which are the best? Kev, Have you got any pics of yours?
  4. It cuts off before he say's all occupants would be dead.
  5. Not watched that one. The chopper vid brings it home a lot more to me as ive been in the same place as the troops sat in the rear many many times.

  8. Verydisco, Where in Worcestershire are you from?
  9. I got mine from Scorpion racing at the Malvern show. There is a whole saga to go with this but whenever I mention it, It gets deleted. Anyway I totally do NOT recommend Scrap iron racing.
  10. Dave (Ashtrans), Do you have an opinion on this?
  11. I had my ZF4HP22 replaced by Ashcroft's after it being so highly recommended. Replaced in a day and I was given a courtesy car to go shopping in whilst it was being done. I’ve not done many miles but not had any problems. the way I look at it is as long as I make sure it's got oil, It's going to be the last thing to break. The only downside is the fitting is not actually at the Ashcroft unit, so I did not get to see all the new shiny things which probably saved my wallet on a big spend day.
  12. Can anybody recommend a good damper relocation kit? I have herd that it is possible to relocate the damper using Defender parts would this be a better option? I have brought a new Qt front diff guard and it won't fit with the steering damper in it's current location hence the need to move it.
  13. That was the one. It wasn't too far away from me. The missus saw it and said "it's all rusty, you might aswell buy a new one for the price thats going for." What a good girl, I will wait and buy a new one
  14. Kev have you got any pics of your current steering damper set up?
  15. Is this the Qt or sumo damper relocation kit? If its moving on the bar i suppose its not very good.
  16. Im assuming i need 3? What are the combinations i.e. 2 x r/h thread, 1 x l/h thread? and the best place to get them because ive been told bad bad things about Paddocks.
  17. Is it better to have ones with grease nipples or without?
  18. Im assuming they dont come with ball joints? What are the best ball joints to get?
  19. I have found the website www.sumobars.co.uk but can't seem to find the parts i need on the price list. has anybody else brought this kit before?
  20. My Mrs has failed to get me the present that i wanted in time for Christmas, Maybe thats because i didnt make my mind up in time? Two weeks i thought would be plenty! Anyway as a back up present i am thinking about her getting me a Sumo track rod and drag link with the steering damper relocation kit. Where is the cheapest place to get these from?
  21. Lara, Is yours a Laminova or a cheaper brand?
