  3. Thanks Paul

If I had charged batteries - I'd have given it a go. But stalling on the ramp, and not being able to restart MogLite would have been a tad embarrasing :o

Could have charged it at the show. Mark on our stand had a petrol powered charger in his 110.

  4. IIRC aren't both in the National Park, so it is up to Park authorities to determine whether they allow vehicle access in all or part of the year?

Paul if it was the following weekend we could make it, but otherwise it's a long way from Cambridge.

    Cheers

    Steve

I dont know the full story, The National Parks can give permisive rights to drive them. I know this was talked of on parts of Sarn Helen. It might be for this bit as well.

If anyone wants more info about this email Mark at the above email address.

  5. So who won the twist off ?

I only saw a few go up the ramp. The best was the black truck-cab on dumper tyres - he scored a respectable but beatable 1180ish ISTR.

No a bad prize either - some kinda winch.

    Yes he won it.

  6. Sarn Helen Hole and LFH

Right then!!!! Works on the hole will take place over the weekend of 23/24th September, Kick off 9.00 am both days. 100+ tons of stone, two dumpers and a digger. We will also be installing a permanent 12 foot field gate at the Juction of Sarn Helen and Lane from Hell. So there will be plenty of rock shovelling, cement mixing and hole digging fun, for all!

Site Location is here SN 896 121

As ever, Hard Hats, Hi-Viz and steel toe caps, try and bring your own as I have a limited spares.

On arrival sign on and enjoy! Prepare for wet weather, its the norm!!

  7. I have a 110 fitted with a 200 TDi and a 3 speed auto. Its slow compared to a manual. But I love it off road and green laning. But mine was fitted when new, it uses a conversion plate. As everyone has said “its each to their own”. But in your case I would stick with the manual box. As getting an auto to fit to a 200tdi is hard to find.

  8. I have a 200tdi with a 3 speed auto in my 110. Yes its better. But if you go to auto, I think, you need to move the gear box mounts and change the props. Also its getting hold of an auto box to fit a TDI. Mine was converted to auto when new and has an adapor plate inbetween the box and engine.
