  1. It wasn't fitted at the factory. And there getting common with high end car thefts. All they want to know is where you live.
  2. Thanks. Going to give Nottingham trailers a ring today.
  3. Semi landy related as it is towed behind my Disco. I have brought an early Ifor williams 7x4 trailer. It needs a little bit of work starting with the brakes. It needs everything from the damper to the shoes. I have just been to my local Inderspension branch but they didn't really want to know. I have been on the Ifor williams site but all the parts on there don't look like the parts i need. Does anyone know of a good website and place in the midlands for parts. Any help is much appreciated, Chris.
  4. Fitted new bits in the pouring rain today. Went well apart from one of the long bolts snapping which made removing casing to p-gasket a right pig. All went back on ok and sounds much nicer with new water pump and tensioner. Been on a steady drive and no signs of leaks. Thanks for your help. Chris.
  5. My mate has just received a bonnet from M and m and wants to fix it to hinges and latch so will be interested in what you find. In the Midlands also.
  6. I've been and brought water pump, p gasket, replacement bolts, and while I was doing a got new belt and tensioner. With only one blue packet being the bolts.
  7. Thanks, off to paddocks as I type to get a new one and gasket. Chris.
  8. I've never done it and I've owned it 7 and a bit years. Its not coming out from where the pump attaches to the block it's coming out onto the back of the pulley.
  9. Hi all, my 300tdi has got a coolant leak with no obvious leaking joints or split hose, the belt and pullies just spraying water everywhere. Could it be leaking from the spindle of the water pump. Thanks Chris.
  10. Yeah it is. Maths isn't my strong point. That's a little better.
  11. Thanks, so from a 235 70 16 to a 33 12.5 15 is a 14% difference. So if my odometer says I've done 200 miles I've actually done 201.4. I was hoping it was a big more and I was getting more miles to my fuel than I am.
  12. Hi, I know this probably been covered before but I carn't find it. I trying to find the % deference between a stock discovery tyre and my 33 12.5 15's so I can work out correct mileage I'm covering. I can find a converter but it's just mm but can't convert to inches. Chris.
  13. It's been a while and wondered if you went ahead and fitted the electric pumps? I've been thinking about fitting one to my Disco Chris.
  14. What about knocking up a larger dog kennel style box for it. Then all you have to do is push it in and pull it out.
  15. Hi my 300tdi commercial has central locking. Have you checked fuses? Chris.
  16. I'm sure getting behind the wheel of your defender again and getting out will put a smile on your face. I did enjoy reading your thread on your 110. Chris.
  17. Like it has already been said I think it was great if you had a list of things to buy. We went early as it does get a bit to cramped to be walking around with two little ones. It's a little to early in the year to be putting stalls out side but maybe a bit of organisation of the car park to make a bit of a show and shine/dirty area would be good and then spitting cars and 4x4's to make it easier to view more motors. We were back home within an hour an a half after walking around twice and buying à couple of switches it was to packed and was nothing else to keep us there. It's very local to us so will be nice to see it get bigger and better.
  18. This looks like a good bit of kit, probably getting a bit far away from what you want though.
  19. I haven't really got many app's but one I do find good is weather underground. Gives lots of good weather info. I'm on my second HTC and find they hold up to abuse well. Had my last one 2 years and it took a lot of big drops.
  20. So in 2015 will the jeep wrangler stop being sold in the EU as it's not that different to the defender in shape.
  21. So if we can get the UK to pull out of the EU they can keep making them.
  22. Looks like a nice build going on there. But why would you want lenient regs regarding cage design. There strict regs for a reason, to save your life.
  23. Going with the HS route HS Wet Blades. I have got it right that HS is short for Heavy Squirter.
