  5. don't whant the s111 look the s111 rad panel is vertually the same as a s11a rad panel just the h/lamp are in a different position many people who have done the 200 tdi conversion with a s111 just cut two holes out for the cooler pipe outlets so thought by putting a bigger distance between thr rad and rad panel would make the cooler to be in the same place as it would be on a s111 alowing the cooler to fit inbetween the rad and h/lamp. graham. s11a swb bronze green. soon to have a 200 tdi in.
  6. Hi all going to fit a 200 tdi into my s11a and wounded if a 300 tdi inter cooler will fit a s11a i know the n/s h/lamp will be in the way but was thinking if i don't need to use the tdi fan can i just move the radiator back an inch and the radiator panel forward an inch make the space up in between the two and fit the inter cooler is it doable. graham. s11a swb bronse green. soon to have a 200 tdi in.
  7. sorry fridge forgot were i was with the reading being as i have got a galv chassis i will stay with the std axle and may look at a diff that is in between a 4.7.1 and a 3.5.4 the reason why i am asking is i have a s1 g/box that is a lot higher ratio than a s11a g/box so thinking rangy diffs may be too high for the gearing. graham. s11a swb bronze green soon to have a 200 tdi in.

Hi rjblank i am hopeing to get an engine between now and billing at the moment i am refitting the g/box after resealing the clutch mechanism and then get it through the m.o.t. then its back on the road again depending where i have to collect an engine from i can use a works tranny van or the landy the problem is the tranny is an old van and doesen't do much milesso would not trust it on a long run so may have to use the landy. graham. s11a swb bronze green. soon to have a 200 tdi.

  15. Hi rjblank i used to have one on my swb s111 they are great in the summer and they work well in the winter as you don't get as much condensation and it helps to stop water leaks but they don't half slow you down if there is a bit of wind about and then it drinks fuel. graham. s11a swb bronze green.
  16. if you fit rocky mountin paras they are not handed and they sit straight and don't lean. graham.
  17. they used to fit landy 2.1/4 engines in fork lifts and i think the back plates were different and if it is out of a f/lift it would of had lpg running through it so i would pull the head off and see if the valves are ok they were prone to blowing valves even with hardend valves. graham. soon to have a 200 tdi.
  18. make sure none of the studs are bent if not you will have to swap the back plates over that should do it graham. s11a swb bronze green.
  19. if the engine was fully recon'd it will still be tight and will take time to free off but when it does it should be a little better. graham. s11a swb bronze green. soon to be 200 tdi.

  25. i normaly fill my tank up trip the speedo ( or jot it down if don't have a trip on your speedo ) carry a galon or two in the back and drive it till it runs out. ok you mite have to blead the system to get it going again after putting the spare fuel in but thats not to hard and that should give you a good idear what it would be doing ( don't forget to jot the milage down when it ran out ) then you can calculate the milage and see what it is doing. cheers graham.
