  1. Try to find it in the forum. How do you rekon the axle code of your rig? 10M, 61L etc
  2. some with dodgy clutch, gearbox and rear diff. I would say not an improvement. The 6th gear is great though
  3. Hi: I bit confused with OME suspension upgrades. The local store recommends OME 767 for the front of my 110" Puma. But I think these springs rate 285lb/in. Original springs are as always 155-215 lb/in. From what I read on this forum most people go with OME 761 (200 lb/in) or OME751 (230 lb/in) to get around 2" lift with a medium size winch. I assume those Defenders are all non V8. Any feedback is welcome thanks M
  4. Hi Has anybody installed TC on a Defender? what would be main issues to modify? opinions and jokes are welcome. M
  5. Sometime ago I purchased a couple of rear bumperettes for my 110" Puma and I found out the holes don`t match. Anybody had this problem. I would have said the rear member is the same as for the Td5?
  6. Today, looking after a new grease nipple at the dealer I inspected a new 110 SW and had no waxoyl at all on the chassis and underfloor. Was told the very new ones do not have it due to environmental issues........is it correct?
  7. Mine had more or less the same, plus a heavy clunk on the transmission. I do coincide about the dust problem, especially on the back (110" SW). I have been desmanteling the seats and plastic covers and I found a lot of "holes" where water and dust come through (mud also). This is probably not an issue on developed countries.
  8. The vacuum brake pump just broke and replaced by LR012183. Is this the new/old model?
  9. As for as I know the manual recommends 5w/30, 5w/40 or 5w/50. ACEA A1-B1 specs
  10. having now 7000 miles on the Puma, the clunk when changing gears got really noticeable. I wonder if somebody found out if it is the gearbox or the TC. Thanks
  11. regarding shock abs, yes, he is right. The RRC spring is the inner helper though che
  12. Sorry I jump in, but is yours post Vin# 9A767162? if not you might want to read: http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=30857
  13. Not sure, but I believe engines for LR were slightly modified by some %$ for off road conditions.
  14. Not an expert, but lack of oil in the cylinders would not be a source of much noise. I guess LR found this problem out in another way.
  15. Hi: would anybody know the (total) height of a front/rear bump stop? I just got some extended ones and they look the about same as original (I´ll not have my landi handy for a while). thanks in advance
  16. The head part number I believe should start with LDFXXXXX
  17. Any kind soul who would measure the std. distance between the front TC flange and the front diff flange on a 110" Puma? Mine is 12k km away and my wife will not do that I´m trying to get a double cardan front propshaft built by propshaft clinic but they need the actual distance. I do know it is not the same distance of the latest 110" Td5. Thanks in advance
  18. Are in general, aftermarket (and particularly +2") gas shock absorbers stiffer than OE hydraulic shocks?
  19. Hi people: I´m the UK for a while and can any recommend a particulal store/manufacturer to provide a front double cardon propshaft for a Puma 110"? The one from the DII would not fit since it is too short. thanks M
  20. Hi Tim. Good info! May I know what springs you hve now and how stiffer is it? cheers M
