Patrick501
The Original alternator has a spade connection next to the W terminal The new alternator does not, both are 65 amp units can anyone shed any light on this
Ex Member
It is just a second condenser. Does not matter. You should have bought a 100A unit, if you were getting a new one. They don't cost much more.
dailysleaze
You could try taking off the plastic spade attachment to put on the new alternator. What part number did you buy? The one on the right is AMR4249

Patrick501
New alternator fitted did not use the spade connection in the end, just taped it off. System now working checked battery voltage when engine is running and approx 14.8 volts. If I was fitting a 100amp unit I would also have to upgrade the main cable from the alternator. Thanks anyway patrick
western
The W terminal on both is the stud & nut marked, the spade terminal just slides on the W terminal stud, my 100amp alt is similar, but I fitted a ring end to my rev counter wire to fit the W terminal stud. Ex Member
A cable costs very little. Not sure why that would stop you.
