Trout
Where is the voltage stabilizer located on my 1967 series 2a 2.6 lwb
steve b
Welcome to the forum. If the wiring and dash are standard it should be screwed to bulkhead behind the dash , the flasher relay should also be there. The stabiliser is a small rectangular box with two terminals . Some pictures of your truck are always welcome when starting out here , we all like to see another one being given some tlc , and I love the Rover IOE 6 cylinders ( and the 4 cyl. too ). cheers Steve b
Landrover17H
A sixer is rare. Assuming it's the same as the S3, which it likely is, it limits voltage to 10V for temp and fuel gauge. If yours is tired I suggest you replace with the electronic equiv. sold on eBay. Edited March 30, 2020 by Landrover17H
Gazzar
Another job I'm going to do during the event. Cheaper than original:
Gazzar
Crappy crimped connectors would need to be replaced, but probably a good piece of kit.
secondjeremy
The regulator itself is usually mounted on the back of the speedo. Yes I know the speedo doesn't need the regulator - but that's where they put it. Edited March 30, 2020 by secondjeremy
