Mutley
Looking at re-newing the manifold gasket on my 300Tdi, so how easy/hard a job is it and is there anything I kneed to know? Plus which gasket to use ie is this an always use original part or is a Bearmach item satisfactory? Part number I have is ERR3785 Cheers all Andy
western
just remove all the manifold bolts/nuts, move manifold away from the block & remove the old gasket, clean the faces, fit the new gasket, on my 200tdi I always use Elring [OEM ] gaskets. vulcan bomber
I always use elring gaskets as well. On the 300 there is a nut and stud hidden behind the turbo, my sockets fit through the gap to undo it but it's an utter swine to do. It could potentially be easier with a stubby spanner. Peaklander
If you have a 3/8" drive with short extension, you should be able to get in there.
