Green200tdi
Hello all hope your all doing well, just a quick question, on the TD5 15p loom does the radio get its permanent live from one of the fuses on the bulkhead fuse box if so what fuse? this is second time I’ve lost all my pri set stations🙄 For years on my other land rovers I’ve always had separate live to battery with in line fuse, Thank you, 😊
crwoody
The circuit diagram refers to the permanent live feed fuse as - "F30, Fuse box Satellite (P109)" so far as I can gather it's in the passenger compartment fuse box, in the single row on the left. The switched feed fuse is "F17, Fuse box passenger compartment (P101)" in the upper right row. It's also worth checking the common earth header on the bulkhead, behind the coolant expansion bottle, I've had them come loose before. https://www.lrworkshop.com/electrics/defender-2002my/fuse-boxes-earths-and-headers Edited April 30, 2020 by crwoody
Green200tdi
Ok thank you👍 its ok I don’t have a fuse board diagram so when my light was playing up I blew a fuse so had to pull each one individuals to locate side light Fuse, always the last fuse😂
Mo Murphy
There are original Land Rover fuse board decals out there if you need replacements. Mo
Green200tdi
No just need to know what I was doing wrong, I thought the radio would be on a fuse in the fuse box under the driver’s seat as it was a permanent live but it’s ok as I don’t have td5 fuse layout card only other way is to pull one at a time hence I lost station memory’s, will sort one soon, new loom has been in since June last year and really can’t fault it been brilliant no hazards light switches blowing no glowing fuses really worth the up grade 👍 Edited May 3, 2020 by Green200tdi
Bowie69
Have you had the radio out? Could be a loose write in there?
Green200tdi
No, it was due to pulling all the fuses as I found out the bottom row right hand is both side lights, always last fuse 😂
