simonpelly
Hi Folks, In the box of bits yet to be added back on our rebuild, trying to identify and determine where this bracket should be located. Really should have made more notes on the strip down. Lesson learned. Any thoughts? This is not any of the two the are on the RHS of the engine block, not the one on the engine block hoist bracket and not the one on the flywheel bolt to engine block. Thanks, Simon... 92a
I have one just above the alternator on my 300 tdi ? ( but does not mean it should actually be there ) There’s a couple across the top of the bell housing too?
simonpelly
Ooooh! Forgot about the alternator. Will look back over some of my engine images. Thanks for another target 🙂 Simon...
simonpelly
Not seeing it on my old images. If you have a photo of your bracket above the alternator, that'd be awesome! Thanks, Simon...
reb78
On the transfer box perhaps? Theres one like that (but with a clip) on the pto cover for the speedo cable. And another like it on the top bolts for a part of the loom on some vehicles (i may be thinking td5 disco with this one)
western
Some clips on the driver side pedal box engine bay to secure the main loom adjacent to the clutch pedal assembly.
simonpelly
I can confirm it's not the transfer box speedo retaining clip. It's also not the clip that is attached to the clutch pedal box.
