Reading that all through I would say it is well past what I can manage without the specialist tools. Getting the shaft out and in is simple but the rest of it requires the special tools and opens up the possibility of setting it up incorrectly when it goes back together

Looks like I will just have to buy a reconditioned one after all

You get warrantee with a recon unit
