TD5toV8110
Hey guys, I'm treating myself to a two post lift! Looking at the 110 chassis on my project, the only flat areas are about a metre apart. Is this the best area to lift from? (I've chopped the rear end off so virtually no overhang) May be nose heavy... Or do I go off the outriggers? (not flat underneath) Maybe make some wood adaptors to conform with the underside of the outriggers? I'll obviously wobble test first 100mm off the ground, just wondering what you lot do. Stellaghost
I would be looking at lifting off the main chassis rails Regards Stephen
Blanco
I personally don't rely on the outriggers, I might if I had occasion to re-inforce them, but in standard and possibly less than perfect nick I don't try. At the front I go with the chassis itself just as it starts to turn up. At the rear I have home built angle iron shoes that reach back round the rear wheel to the back axle ... the lift arm itself is under the radius arm just forward of the axle. Most important is to learn where the balance point is, I find the door mirror is about right for me.
toenden
When on my mates two post, we lift 110's on the rear radius arm brackets and on the chassisrail just in front of the front radiusarm branket. Works on both 90 and 110's and they are ok stable this way even if engine is removed as part of the work carried out. 🙂 /mads 2
