Headlight bowls

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, is it possible to get headlight assemblies without the actual light unit? I bought new ones of those last year, but having removed the wings I now see how manky the rest of the assemblies really are, and it seems prudent to replace them...

Thanks

My original ones (MY83) were closed buckets made of sheet metal. I replaced them completely with motorbike LEDs because the visual impression of the front was closest to the H4s.

Ooh. Do you have a link to that by any chance, please?

I removed the bowl completely, made a M8 fixed mounting point and used PG7 cable entries for adjusting. They are perfect for turning and clamping the adjustment screws.

The holes for PG7 and the M8 fixpoint had to be widened a bit, thats all.

Wipac make full bowl and half bowl versions in plastic.  They’re ok, but one of mine has a stripped thread on the adjuster hole.  I might do Sigi’s mod, or I might just superglue some strips of plastic in there and apply more grease to the steel adjuster screw threads.  I’ll probably do the latter.
