Airborne
Hello I am looking to have my cam belt changed, I am tempted to do it my self after reading through the technical forum. Before I have a go, a couple of questions. First how much would a garage charge to do it? Second does anyone know a good mechanic who can do it near Gravesend Kent? Third is it really as easy to do, as the tech forum suggest? Thanks. Ian

Les Henson
The crankshaft bolt and viscous fan unit might make things difficult if they refuse to come undone, and the three water pump bolts that seize up sometimes. Apart from that it is pretty straight forward. Les.

michael calvert
if you decide to let a garage do it PM dred90, hes just used a Landy garage in Canterbury (not far from you?) if you do it yourself make sure you paint mark all the pulleys together and back to the casing, also check the tensioner and all the bits you have are what you need! Yep, take it to Landroversolutions in Canterbury, if you're not doing it yourself. I think it was about £40 / hour on the labour side. V. pleased with the work done on my truck, last time i took it there.. 01227 861186
