after getting under to clean out sedimenter its well corroded probably will break trying to take apart this is on a 300tdi 1996 disco does anyone have the part number so i can order one or can i do away with it completely

I did away with mine completely, never had any problems.

Most people remove them and plumb straight to the tank Pinny. The position they are in means they are quickly ruined by water and dirt thrown up under the vehicle, as you have found out. Your fuel filter is adequate enough on it's own.

as people have said alumunium and road salt dont mix does any one know if the plastic drain plug is a m6 thread as this has snapped off leaving the plug flush with the base im looking to drill it out and retap the hole and fit a m6 bolt or replace the whole thing thoughts please

Pinny, from what I can remember it's an M8.

ill find out the weekend ill drill out plastic and see what tap fits maybe m8 looking at it theres no way the bolt on top is coming undone well corroded so there must be water carp in sedimenter main filter was ok changed weekend
