deepmud
That's Diane's own, she-made-it-herself, moosebuggy. Her husband, Gus(Speedo), has his own, well he sold his and is building a new one. They are pretty serious moose hunters. Here is his thread: http://www.alaska4x4network.com/showthread.php?t=30743 Still a work in progress. some pics of Diane's and their friend Ty's buggy with additional "little rigs" there as well. deepmud
Here Diane and Gus are in the same rig, I think it's Gus's old one - it looks a lot like hers so I could have them confused. Always nice to have Gus or Diana along.... Here's a good ol' thread with Gus's rig getting stuck and broken ... http://www.alaska4x4network.com/showthread.php?t=560&highlight=freak+recovery the recovery thread with brook's freak is all "broken" unfortunately - that's good thread to read... deepmud
I found someone got a few pics of me... in here is where I dropped the rear coils - they are only held on one side, at the bottom. Click the pic for a video of my springs
nicks90
Here's a good ol' thread with Gus's rig getting stuck and broken ... http://www.alaska4x4network.com/showthread.php?t=560&highlight=freak+recovery the recovery thread with brook's freak is all "broken" unfortunately - that's good thread to read... those are some epic stories of serious swamp and marsh! Makes the Ladoga challenge look a bit tame to be honest, same sort of swampy stupid deep mess, but all at minus ALOT centigrade and ice and bad light. Very cool and very hardcore. FridgeFreezer
Thanks to the wonders of the internet I've found Brook's recovery thread: Wayback Machine internet archive
deepmud
that's cool - I see page two doesn't just "work" but it's pretty neato' Here's the video Diane got - she's not the steadiest hand but it's minus -20 F and there are big trucks thrashing nearby, while a fall into the water would likely mean your death... http://www.kyrias.com/deepmud/winter-recovery2003.wmv I need to move that to a faster video server tho'....
