TheBeastie
In dreaming mode (it is Saturday after all) and wondering about a VDO tachometer. Bit pricier than I had hoped but also there seem to be two models listed. One, 333-015-009K, does 0-6,000 min and the other, 333-015-010K, does 0-8,000 min. Two questions. Presumably min is rpm???? Second for a 200Tdi I think I am better off with the 0-6,000 min version but a bit of confirmation would be good. A friend is also looking for one for his '05 110 which will be a Td5(?) so would the same choice be right for him too? I am looking at ETB Instruments which I think has been mentioned in a previous thread, or can anyone recommend better/cheaper suppliers? Thanks and best wishes Malcy
western
LR do a Tacho [rev counter] for the Td5, which will be a easy fit & connect to pin 19 of the under drivers seat ecu. for your 200Tdi use the 0 to 6000 or the 0 to 5000 [LR V8 50th anniversary version] as I have in my 200Tdi 110, easy to fit, connect to earth, W turminal on Alternator for signal & a ignition controlled power supply & gauge illumination. here here here that should sort you out. TheBeastie
Thanks western I will pass info on to my friend- he had been quoted £400 by the main stealer. For myself I think I need to prioritise my shopping list which will be hard since it is all must have. Who knows perhaps someone will commission me to build another database next week and that will sort it all out! More chance of that than winning the lottery - LOL Malcy
western
Hell, £400 is far too steep, for info on adding one to yours the LR part number for mine was amr5724 iirc cost me about 58 quid back in 2000.

Ex Member
My suggestion.... Get the 0 to 4000 rpm model. Governed speed is 3850 rpm or so. They come in 4000, 6000 and 8000 rpm models.

callum
www.egauges.com is a good place to get vdo rev counters for a reasonable price. it wont say land rover on it though, perhaps you can live without though.
western
mine doesn't have LR on it & it came from a LR main dealer, the correct Td5 versions have Td5 on the face.
TheBeastie
Hmm. I have tried Googling for 5,000 rpm VDO tachometer at 52mm and cannot find anything. Did look at eguages.com and looked as if complex getting in from US, at least from their web site it did anyway. I like the sound of 5,000 since if max is 4,000 you will get best visual accuracy from the gauge. Anyone any ideas where I might get one?
