steve b
Hi Bathtub, haven't done one yet myself but i think you need a largish puller to get the hub off the axle and then some sort of press/clamp arrangement to refit.....thats nice and vague , there is a 'mog section on d*fflock and i'm sure theres something on there about it. DirtyDiesel on here has some experience with uber axles , might be worth a pm would be interested in knowing more myself for later... cheers Steveb

SRB60
I have a Mercedes workshop manual that is titled Models 403 to 406/413 to 416. I assume this will cover the 404. Only done service items on Unimogs, not major repairs. I can scan and send you the relevant pages if that will help. Stuart

Astro_Al
Do you want brakey bits too? Is it the hubs, or centre sections (diffs etc), whole thing? Axle removal? (I guess not). Al.

Astro_Al
Ombre - where abouts are you? Please fill in your profile so we can see. I have a couple of sheets from Mog manuals that cover 406 axles, but I need to scan them - could post you a copy I guess? I also have a 406 front axle with drums that I don't need. Any drum brake bits I manage to remove intact will be available if its useful for you? Cheers, Al.
