davie
Hi all, Been working on security for my trailer that i bought recently (kept killing small single axle one), so i bought a ten foot x 6 foot 6 twin axle trailer second hand So far its got a hitchlock and as soon as the concrete dries it will live in an area blocked by two steel posts and some very nice high tensile chain with hardest padlock i could find...............famous last words - should be safe! I want to insure it so when some theiving so and so decides its worth the effort i can at least get some money back. Anyone ever insured a trailer? Any recommondations on where to try for a price thats not going to make my eyes water? Cheers all Davie
sheeppimp
Good few years ago we insured the horse trailer, I think it was through South Essex Brokers and seem to remember it was around £100 - this was for a new Ifor worth around £3500. Hope this helps
Divster
The NFU are really competitive for trailer insurance. I've had my Ifor covered with them for the last three years.

Costs about £30/year extra. Value of trailer £2500. Only proviso is that I have a Thatcham approved wheel lock. It was also tagged by Universal who I bought from new 3 years ago. It lives mainly now in my factory with red care alarm.
