Disced handbrake

Having spoken to simonr at the weekend, a series version of the x-brake should be very close now....

It is indeed close. I plasma cut a prototype back plate yesterday and I'll fold it tomorrow. Assuming my calculations are accurate, I will need a certain Series II / Lightweight for a trial fit fairly soon! (Mark?).

With some help from Mark on Saturday, we have hatched a plan which will re-use the existing lever and tie rod. It should only require the removal of the bell-crank. Not having to supply a lever, mounting plate and cable will have a big impact on the cost.

If Tonk & Jon do a kit as well, that will be good as no one solution will be ideal for everyone.

Perhaps we could have a 'Brake-off' some time?

Ooh, I'd better pull my finger out and get something roadworthy then. The IIa is probably a better bet as it's much easier to work on!
