LR90
is it possible to cut waffles or will it affect their strength thanks Marc Guess it depends where you cut them? Many trim a few inches off one end to make them easier to fit in the rear tub and that won't do any harm.

landrover598
I cut the large sheets of waffles into useable sizes using my circular saw with a wood/nails blade easy to cut but makes a right awfull mess wear a dust mask and glasses
freeagent
you can cut waffles to what ever size you like, i have a copy of Fibregrids (the company who manufacture waffles) design manual, and it says you can cut the grids however using woodwork tools.... 02GF74
is it possible to cut waffles or will it affect their strength thanks Marc Yes, most things can be cut with the correct blade. Second part - depends where you cut them. say if you cut them so they are half the tickness or cut squares out of the the grid, then surely you can see they will be weaker? whereas if you cut them half in length, they will be able to support more weight or deflect less for the same weight; obvioulsy taking that to extreme by making them 1 ft long makes them very strong indeed but FA use for bridging a ditch. not sure what the point of this question is.
