Mack
Looks like changing the diesel filter on a Puma is "bit" different to do so on a Td5.

Mack
Apparently the bleeding procedure is different. Dont know how.
BogMonster
You need a special tool to bleed the fuel lines after breaking into the fuel system. It's basically a primer bulb with an adaptor to fit into the end of the line and it sucks the fuel up to the engine. You can't change the filter without it (or rather you can but it won't go!) I think they call it "progress"... still I suppose it means the fuel pump in the tank doesn't break all the time like a Td5
Mack
Thanks. Is that a very special tool?
BogMonster
No, as in "Land Rover Special Tool" not really that special. The guys at work made one out of a primer bulb and some fitting that they found in one of the junk drawers! Not sure how much the genuine article costs but SPX supply all the special tools so they ought to be able to tell you.
JimAttrill
We won't be seeing a Puma for 3 years when the warranties wear out.
