bigjohn Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 hi all, i am changing all the exhaust system on my 300tdi manual.do i need to remove any crossmembers or rollbars to get the downpipe out(cat type)?.i am changing to non cat downpipe.i am happy tonight as i got the 3 turbo nuts off without anything snapping !!.refit tomorrow night all being well.cheers,john. bigjohn Posted May 14, 2008 Author Share Posted May 14, 2008 All done now,with help from above (no jokes )we managed to remove the old downpipe without removing any other parts,the non cat downpipe went in easier than the cat one came out.i think using the flexi downpipe helped with the fitting,maybe dropping the ARB would be needed to fit the solid type.
