Wrenchdevil
Hey there, anybody knows from which year on there were 23/10 splines cv joints in land rover axles?? And were to get them from? LR90
from which year Surely from the first coilers? 1983/84. Fine spline CVs didn't appear until much later and the 24spline shafts until the TDi300s.
ashtrans
Hi, 3 types of CV's used on 90/110's, years are approx as they all go on axle numbers not year of build, Year 1983-1990, 10 spline diff, 23 spline into CV , CV was part number AEU 2522, outside of CV was 24 spline, thick early drive flange. 1990-1994, 10 spline diff, 32 spline into CV , outside of CV was 24 spline, thick early drive flange. 1994 on, 24 spline diff, 32 spline into CV , outside of CV was 24 spline, thin late drive flange. Steve H
Is this also correct for RRc/Disco 1 axles, allowing for the fact that they often had one piece outer shafts, are the diff splines, CV inner splines the same? Thanx, Steve. Edited January 2, 2006 by Steve H
ashtrans
Hi Steve, bit more tricky on a RRc/ Disco I but if you have the axle number and advise if ABS or not I will try to work it out,

Steve H
Hi Steve, bit more tricky on a RRc/ Disco I but if you have the axle number and advise if ABS or not I will try to work it out, Thanks, Dave haven't got them yet , the question was asked more from the point of view of knowing what to go looking for without having to strip axles down to find out. Lazy, moi? Cheers, Steve
