Muddylandy
Hi All, I recently bought(4 weeks) a mountney 3 spoke steering wheel from a Landrover specialist which has failed. It appears to be made of soft cheese and when I ventured around Billing last weekend I spent half the day pulling it somewhere near straight. Does anyone have a similar experience or have I just got a rogue item? I have spent hours in my road vehicle desperatly trying to bend it by hanging off it at various angles and it seems to handle the abuse. Confused Muddy
Orange
I must admit that the one I bought recently seems a little flimsy, but I have yet to try it out in the sticky stuff. Will wait and see, but I've kept the original one just in case..........question is, do I need to carry it as a spare???!!!
Muddylandy
Mine got me home, but the more I reshaped and played with it the softer it became.
rusty_wingnut
i wouldn't fit one. they're best suited for classic cars IMO
Milemarker Type S
I bent mine the first time I went off roading... once bent it then kept bending... Til I put the old one back on... I wouldn't buy one again.
pongo
Mountneys are made of cheese. You need one of these. http://www.moto-lita.co.uk/ Expensive, but definitely worth it. Look great with the billet centre hub too.

dave88sw
i bought one and i did feel that it was a bit flimsy, didnt actually get a chance to bend it though, i found a 1978 wheel from a triumph of some sort at an autojumble, cost a tenner and its a genuine astrali one . They dont make them like they used to, the astrali wouldnt bend if i drove the landy over the top of it im sure.
