Fern
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYdtaIX4ct8 That was too hard for him. This is much easier: http://ru.youtube.com/watch?v=YXYtfkchG0s&NR=
smo
The 42/44" tyres looked better. I've seen this in the flesh several times, its biggest problem is there is zero travel on the suspension (and the silly big tyres) - if you articulate more than 1.5" then tyres rip chunks of body off, useless, even on road it eats bodywork! Fern
And seriously. With such big wheels there might be not enough torque. When you increase torque in transfer box then you'll have problems with axels. etc, etc, etc....
BogMonster
I think it was on portals which would probably have a reduction in the hubs

FridgeFreezer
And portals aren't made of chocolate like rover axles True, although as pointed out on P4x4 he still blew axle internals trying to drive over crushed cars. The issue for me is not building a show truck, however pointless many of us may find that, it's the carp engineering behind it.
Cliffh
This was parked in front of their stall at Peterborough and was getting lots of attention. It certainly is a monster
D9OSV
It was only built to turn heads........ It has done that. Right or wrong it has served the purpose it's owner intended. Jim Ps: He does however have some Unimog axles for sale
