Who says it needs a new chassis? Can it not be patched repaired by a competant person? It depends on what you want it for. If you want a concourse vehicle then maybe it will be a lot of work. If you want a runaround veh then not necessarily so. If you want an offroader then even less.

It will depend on your skill set and how much work you are willing to do or farm out. Plus if it needs new panels are youprepared to put second hand parts on or only new.

At the end of the day only you know what you are capable of. A chassis change needn't be that painful. If you have access to lifting gear then you can lift the whole body off in 1 go. Thereby negating the need to strip it down to it's bare bones. And undoing loads of nuts + bolts unneccessarily.

If you can get it for a few hundred quid, could you not buy it break it to make more money to get another veh that more suits you? The gas kit will be worth a few quid and then comes the axles, engine, body panels etc etc.

Never underestimate the cost of nuts and bolts and odds and ends.

I've just spent £1000 on my 110 and it still looks dreadful.

Having said that, £1300 for a new chassis, £1500 for odds and ends + say £300 to buy the original 110 + 6 months hard work and you would have a 110 for life ;)

Will :)
