Dale Simpkins
I've got some PVC pipe that I want to spray either black or silver. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to prep the pipe for painting, and what primer I should use? Thanks,

GregK
Plastic primer is what you need should be available thru halfords in spray can if not try your motor factors or local paint suppliers. You just spray it on the plastic, let it dry for a bit and apply paint with out sanding. But be cerfull it's like water. Greg

I've just remembered that I've got some plastic primer in the shed from painting an R/C car a few years ago! Thanks for jogging my memory! GregK
No probs. What I used to do is to lightly flat/scratch plastic with fine emery cloth [or even with plumbing wool] before applying plastic primer . And never had a prob with flaking paint

Dale Simpkins
Fake roll-cage by any chance ? No, even stranger! I've got some 5" speakers for the front of our camper van, and I don't want to cut holes in the door panels, especially as a friend spent many hours re-upholstering them for me. So I bought some 5" PVC pipe, and I'm going to use it to make two speaker pods slung under the dash. Only problem is the pipe is bright orange!
