benbenukuk
I am wanting to buy some new tyres but am unsure which ones to buy either 36'' Extreme Trekker 2 Or 37'' Super Swamper Bogger the only thing that puts me off the boggers is that I have heard it has no sideways grip any insight would be helpfull, They are for my range rover classic ,cheers. Ben Super Swampers anyday, we've had both and the wide tread pattern of the bogger seems to be a great advantage over the 10.5" wide simex we had, but can be a slight disadvantage in the tight tree sections. As for the side slope issue i haven't seen a great problem with them.
MrHT
Boggers don't have any side grip when your not steady on side slopes. learn to drive with them and you'll have no problem.
dollythelw
Simex - buy Boggers and kittens die (I read that a couple of years ago so Im sure its still true )
Young bobtail Rhys
I have simex and won't be changing for boggers! I like the simex, especially at 7psi
dollythelw
tyres can be blown up that much?
saley
Just put a set of boggers on and only been playing round the back for 1/2 hour, the grip is amazing 3psi front 4.5psi rear, seamed fine on side slopes Jez are my tyre pressures to high they are on double beadlock split rims so can be let down a bit more, but any less i think they look flat, they do have a good footprint at these pressures
Steve 90
No contest. Simex is a very good tyre but not even in the same league as the bogger. Simex dig great big holes. The grip from boggers is amazing. And THERE IS NO SIDE SLOPE ISSUE. Anyone who says there is, is talking out their a&$£! Ive driven side slopes I failed on anything else. Ciderman Drove my truck with the Boggers on a few weeks back and loved them, He couldn't believe the grip they had.

Steve 90
Ive had dealings with that bloke and he's been talking out of his ar$e for years  only thing that puts me off the boggers is that I have heard it has no sideways grip any insight would be helpfull, Ben, Ive just read in a post of yours you "Have a 6" lift" And your worrying about tyre grip on side slopes  ???? Seriously, Just stick the boggers on, You'll love em! P.S. You will need beadlocks, The boggers really come into their own at low pressure! benbenukuk
Steve 90 - you are right there why am I bothered about it on side slopes? it will tip over long before the tyres start to slide. I was thinking of beadlocks what ones would you reccommend? cheers. Ben
Young bobtail Rhys
Which beadlocks do you want? Ready made wheels, i.e. you buy them off the shelf, or cheap diy jobbies? I have the diy ones and they work faultlessly. I would recommend Gary Andrews for diy beadlocks, despite the fact that I use bt fab and love them Same quality with Gary, just half the price
FridgeFreezer
Based on today's experiences at Slab (100% Sand with a bit of sand thrown in) Boggers also work rather well there. Mind you, the car they're attached to does help Quite comedy watching Simex digging big holes with no forward motion
Rob Butler
Boggers any day. No side slope problems at all... you'll be on ur lid before they give way... They are also fine for road use, I have been on to vosa and the police about this and both say that as long as they have DOT approval and a speed rating, + conform to the mot tread regulations... they are A-ok. series3_mad
going to be putting loads more pressure on ur half shafts, cv's and diffs as boggers grip more then bfg's will so you'll be snapping shafts lik match stick so wouldnt it be better upgrading your drivetrain before you stick bigger tyres on it?
Young bobtail Rhys
I have simex et2's with standard drivetrain..........just depends on how you drive
series3_mad
i run simex on my 90 and wish i upgraded everything first as its cost abit to replace things as ive had a few gears from diffs exit the diff pan afew times, one went when i was driving at 60mph
benbenukuk
I don't drive hard and have spare halfshafts/diffs just in case, What tyre pressure could you let the boggers down to before they come off the rim? Ben
dollythelw
depends on the width and profile of the wheel you are running
