Monster
Hi, Has anyone tried these rims? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/16-x-8-Steel-BLACK-R...8QQcmdZViewItem I understand there are similar models available from the US. What wheel nuts would go with these? Would Series 1 Disco wheelnuts fit? These are the best steel wheel i have come up with so far. I would like some Mach 5s but they are soo expensive and i think they need to be built to order. I am not that keen on offroading alloys. The offset is +25mm. How does this compare to other 8x16 Modulars(90/110, S1 Disco fitments). Cheers.
BogMonster
D1 wheelnuts would not fit as D2 studs are smaller. The photo isn't that clear but if they are what they look like, you could use the nuts intended for a steel wheel on a D2, the base spec vehicles had steel wheels as standard. discomikey
hi. im not sure about the studs due to the unclear picture but these wheels can be picked up relatively cheaply from lots of places my favorite is paddocks in matlock. these style wheels are deemed to be very good wheels. ive not used them but my friend has some on his buggy, and if you buy the right ones you can just use the standard land rover, def/RR/Disco 1/series nuts
pinny
these look the same as what are on my disco 1 but the picture isnt brilliant as far as i know mine use the standard lr nuts as my normal steel rims i have use the same nuts .chris
ste clark
i have seen these wheels on 2 discos now........... both had flaked to bits and looked generally scruffy due to poor chrome plating... be careful and do some research before you buy mate.. q-rover
Just make sure they are for a DII as they will not fit if they are Def, DI, or RRClassic fitment.
Jake Lloyd
D2 steel wheel nuts are different to D1/RRC ones B)
