DaleGreaves
silly question I know but is the lamp ok? Thats a good point mate with it been a sealed beam unit is there any way to check
Aragorn
check the voltage to the back of the bulb on both lights, if its the same then the bulbs duff, if the dim one is lower you've got some faulty wiring/switchgear somewhere.
upnover4x4
for the time it takes, swap the known good lamp unit to the opposing side & see if it works. Easiest way if you have a voltmeter is the check the feed to the offending side as mentioned above.

markyboy
Could also be a poor connection on the high beam supply. This should become obvious when measuring the voltage as mentioned above. Mark.
bm52
this happened to me it was fuse number 13 or 14 [7.5amp] which blew. there are 4 fuses on my 300. 1 for each dip and 1 for each beam the harness had shorted by the blower motor re-located the harness, 1 new wire run thru and a new fuse fixed it.
