  1. 🫢 Embarrasingly, Stephen, I haven't done anything, apart from lose all the photos I took when we first got the vehicle. I have taken quite a number of photos since the rebuild started and will continue to do so. I suppose I could do thread 'when I get time'.
  2. I remember helping my dad change the brushes on many of the dynamos on his old, junk cars. When I started my apprenticeship in the late '70's, they were, more or less, a thing of the past. My first 2A had a dynamo, but I converted to alternator as I fitted an electric winch to it. Currently in the process of reviving a '67 2A, which also has a dynamo, which has had a 'refresh'. It remains to be seen whether the regulator is operational, I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
  3. ...... and I'm just wowed by the fact that he managed to cast a blank using a cooking pot and bits of scrap that was 'lying around'. Incredible, as usual, Stephen. 👍
  4. Brilliant work, Stephen. Looks like a lovely finish on that flywheel. What did you decided to do for bolting the flywheel to the crank, or isn't it decided yet? Regards, Mark
  5. Shouldn't be a problem, it just means the fuel is returning to the bottom of the tank. Regards, Mark
  6. I have the same winch on my series, Stephen. Whilst I mainly use it for mild self-recovery and recovery of others on lanes and such, I have to say it has worked well for me so far. I have replaced the wire cable with a synthetic rope.
  7. If it's leaking fuel, it could be the injector pipe union or leak-off leaking?
  8. I doubt you'll get a reply, he has only ever posted 5 times. My advice would be to find Landyman Lukes post, which is very useful, and diagnose as described. My two pennies worth? The hazard switch is notorious for creating issues with the indicators and replacing it shouldn't hurt, assuming you can find one of reasonable quality. Try PA Blanchard for a replacement part.
  9. Thanks, James, I use the files all the time and have missed them not being available. 👍
  10. Yes, Ralph. Do you think the problem lies at James' end? Would make sense as the 2A manual is hosted elsewhere.
  11. Hi Ralph, The Links to connect to the the parts books and WSM's for Series and Defender appear not to be working. The only one that appears still to work is the S2A parts book. Any ideas? Regards, Mark
  12. They always look worse in that scenario. I think you notice the 'haze' picked up by the lights of the vehicle behind.
  13. Great news, Stephen, so pleased to hear it. Regards, Mark
  14. Very interesting to witness this being done by a pro'.
