Anderzander Posted June 5, 2009 Share Posted June 5, 2009 Gosh My friend ran a couple of stitch welds last night between my chassis and winch bumper (to stop it being nicked without a grinder) and I never even thought about disconnecting the battery etc .... Bowie69 Posted June 5, 2009 Share Posted June 5, 2009 I got a surge protector to clip across the battery whilst welding which filters the spikes/high voltages, it saves me having to rest all my radio codes each time I want to weld something, cost about £15 I think, saved me more than that in time alone so far..... rustynuts Posted June 5, 2009 Share Posted June 5, 2009 Having just spent the last three days welding my chassis, i was a little alarmed when i read this thread and realised i had forgotten to disconnect my battery! reluctently i wondered outside to see if the beast would start..........................
