Removing a heated screen

I'm going to scrap a RR classic but I want to keep the Heated front screen. I'm planning to cut the seal with a stanley knife but I'm unsure how the screen is connected, I want to avoid damaging any connections does anyone know where the screen is connected.

Also is there anything clever like a timer relay I should be keeping to go with the screen.

Thanks

Probably on one long edge, towards a corner. Whip all the cabin trim and dash off and you should find a nice fat juicy wire (30 amp) and an equally chunky earth lead somewhere.

Most heated screens use a voltage sensitive relay to turn it off when the battery volts get low, so this would be a good find (look for a non-black (they're often yellow) relay with VSR on it).

Just remove the push in strip that runs in the rubber surround, that should enabe you to move the screen outwards. There are connections top and bottom IIRC.

When I had mine changed they certainly didn't have the need to use a stanley knife, or any other kind of knife......

When i took my covering of to find a leak a few months ago, i'm sure i seen a relay for the heated screen. It was in the drivers cockpit area, remove the covering right next to the GAS pedal, there's a bunch of them in there that i'm sure where marked.
