Jim1
Is it possible to use the chassis from 300TDI Disco and put a Defender body onto it. How much work involved knowing about body mounts will be defferent, Just need to know about chassis yes can be done / no. ( it can't for friend)
western
Defender chassis is 1. a lot deeper in the sides 2. body mounts are completely different 3, cross members -- gearbox & rear different would be easier to shorten a 110 down to 100inch & the mod the body to fit. Tetsu0san
Is what Mark Evans did on 'A 4x4 is Born' pretty much the same as what this is talking about? There are a lot of changes that you would need to do but it is possible. As far as I know the Range Rover classic and the Discovery 1 chassis are very similar so this would be a good starting point to see if it is achievable. yogibear47.lee
i guess the problem is if you change the chassis in any way you have to get a sva test
Mr Bean
i guess the problem is if you change the chassis in any way you have to get a sva test I was under the impression that you only need a SVA test if you replace the chassis.
