What Da Ya Drive

OK all, as the name suggests I`ve got myself a 110.

It`s a 1990 200TDI ex Camel Trophy 110, that went on the 1991 event to Tanzania/Burrundi, 1992 to Guyana and then finally to the 1993 event in Sabah/Malaysia. Its had a hard life and has the scars and rust to prove it, other than that it drives like a dream, well as good as a battered 110 can. :D

My previous toy was a 1988 V8 110, that had to go due to the fuel bill, it was a pleasure to drive, apart from it`s drinking habit.

Ashamed to admit, I went to the Dark Side :( , ( Isuzu Bighorn,[ Holden Jackaroo]) but have plans for a 100" hybrid one of these years soon. Young family etc . Used to have an 88" Series 2a, but we out grew it, still trying to figure out what happened :D:D

I have my newly restored IIA, which I can enjoy the spring sunshine with....

and I have my '97 V8i Disco County.

This is my 3rd Disco. My first one gave it's life for me:

This was after a 70's Toyota pulled out in front of me while I was doing 100k's. Luckily she had no passenger - that door ended up by the gearstick! Mine was not that badly damaged, but was written off due the the cost of the repair panels.....

Hi all

I own a 94V8i five door disco

3" spring lift

ARB lockers front and rear

long range fuel tank

bullbar winch

dual batteries

snorkle

265/75/16 BF Goodrich TA's

and the usual electronics

I am in the process of giving it a 2 1/2 inch body lift

flares

offset rims

35" tyres not sure which brand yet?

and considering a 5.7 Gen III V8

And I may crack it and cut the back off and turn it into a tray back but not sure about that yet.

When I finish it I will stick some photo's up - I think I'm going into competition with Hiline

Yep, Tim & everyone did a great job.

They reckon about 60 vehicles passed through the site over the weekend, and 40 Camels in one place at one time!

We certainly had fun (except when Helen got squashed by a large northerner who fell onto our tent!) despite the cold. Lovely food from the on site catering trailer and the LRE people were good sports.

Cheers

C
