David Sparkes Posted July 27, 2010 Share Posted July 27, 2010 The actual TX box viscous coupling is the same, whether your donor Range Rover is a Classic or 38A. So it's down to the Transfer Box rather than the VC. As the 38A dresses on the left, and the Classic dresses on the right, it depends on the axles you have fitted, but if they are 'old standard' LR you probably want a Classic TX box. Snagger Posted July 29, 2010 Share Posted July 29, 2010 The only electrical connection on my late RRC's Borg Warner transfer box with viscous coupling is the speedo sensor. I have no idea whether that sensor is compatible with a late electronic defender speedo, or whether it can be substituted by the late Defender sensor or cable drive head.
