Mean Green Posted August 20, 2010 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Can anyone recomend somewhere to recondition the fuel injection pump for a 200tdi Defender? It appears that the pump has seized in the "excess fuel position" and I will need it stripped and rebuilt. I am based in Kilmarnock, South West Scotland, but wonder about mail order suppliers? How much should expect it to cost? Alternatively, does anyone have a known good or recently recon pump lying around surplus? Are 200 & 300 injector pumps the same? jad Posted August 20, 2010 Share Posted August 20, 2010 I beleive 300 and 200 pumps can be interchanged with some small modification but cant remember what they are.... Autoland in houton regis reconned my brothers fuel pump, now fitted to my car as he blew his engine up! Think the pump was about 450, 700 ish installed. western Posted August 20, 2010 Share Posted August 20, 2010 look in your phone book for a Bosch diesel agent or fuel injection specialist, must be one in your area somewhere, to have my 200tdi FIP rebuilt a few years ago it cost me just under 400 quid & that included parts,labour, reset to factory settings & testing.
