keithjh
Hi All, Having installed the 300Tdi+ auto Box from a disco into the 110 and piped it all up, I have fitted the steering box from the disco to give me power steering, need i change the drop arm from the disco box (as long as i use the disco tie bar). Or must i use the 110 drop arm and the 110 tie bar. The reason i ask is the 110 drop arm is not wanting to come off just smashed a 3 leg puller trying. LR90
Keith I think the anser may be that yes you can use the Disco drop arm and steering bar but you may need to also fit the Disco drag link and damper as the 110 damper will not have a mounting on the Disco steering bar. Turbocharger
I have a Disco drop arm on my Defender - you use the Disco drag link and a standard ball joint, and I've got Sumo bars with a clamp arrangement to carry the steering damper. You could fit the 110's drop arm instead, but I converted across to get rid of the horrible mud-trap drop-arm ball joint.
mwncidur
As previously said, the disco drop arm is far more reliable without that stupid droparm mounted ball joint
